Dedicated INA (Individual Needs Assistant) – 1:1 Support in Primary Setting
Location: Peacehaven
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil in a nurturing school environment in Peacehaven. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient and resilient who thrives in supporting children with additional needs.
About the Role:
As an INA, you will work closely with a child who requires extra support to access the curriculum, manage emotional regulation, and succeed socially and academically. You will be instrumental in building trust, consistency, and confidence for the learner within the classroom and throughout the school day.
Individual Needs Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide focused 1:1 support to primary-aged pupils with identified additional needs.
- Support the child with learning tasks and emotional regulation strategies.
- Promote inclusion and engagement within the classroom setting.
- Work in collaboration with the class teacher and teaching staffs to implement individualised support plans.
- Encourage progress by monitoring achievements and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Use positive behaviour management techniques in line with school policy.
- Contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements for INA:
- Experience supporting children as an Individual Needs Assistant in a primary school setting is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ in Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or a relevant degree is advantageous.
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach to working with young learners.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
