The Role:
GSL Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Teacher of Business and Economics to join this vibrant and ambitious school from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Teacher of Business and Economics who can deliver engaging and relevant lessons that ignite students' passion for both business theory and economic thinking.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences as a Teacher of Business and Economics, in line with national curriculum standards.

  • Create a stimulating learning environment that connects business and economics to real-world scenarios.

  • Track and assess student performance, offering timely and constructive feedback.

  • Encourage entrepreneurial thinking, financial awareness, and a problem-solving mindset in all learners.

  • Uphold classroom discipline and foster an inclusive and dynamic learning culture.

  • Contribute to the curriculum development and departmental success as a proactive Teacher of Business and Economics.

  • Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge in business and economics education trends.

 

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification in Business, Economics, or a related field.

  • Previous experience teaching Business and Economics at the secondary level (KS4-KS5 preferred).

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of assessment methods.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a student-focused teaching approach.

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

  • The enthusiasm to inspire and challenge students as a committed Teacher of Business and Economics.

  • A collaborative attitude to contribute to whole-school initiatives and share best practices with colleagues.
