GSL Education are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school with students aged 11–16 in Andover. You will support students with a wide range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Disorders, gross and fine motor difficulties, as well as moderate visual and hearing impairments. You will work with a collaborative team of highly trained professionals to provide a safe, inclusive and empowering learning environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
  • Contribute to the creation and review of each student’s Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP)
  • Support students’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that help students feel safe and motivated
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour through consistent support
  • Provide classroom-based and one-to-one assistance as needed

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
