Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Totton
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a friendly and caring Special Education Needs (SEN) Learning Support to join a welcoming school in Totton. In this role, you will help students who find learning a bit harder. Your support will help them feel more confident and enjoy school. You will be someone they can trust and go to when they need help. Every small step you help them take will make a big difference in their learning journey.
What You Will Do:
- Support the teacher in planning and helping with class activities.
- Give extra help to students who need it, especially those with special educational needs.
- Be a kind and calm person students can talk to.
- Help students stay focused and follow classroom rules.
- Keep track of how students are doing and tell the teacher if any help is needed.
- Follow learning plans made for each student.
What We Are Looking For:
- Someone who truly wants to help children learn and feel happy.
- Good communication skills and able to work well with others.
- Able to support children in different age groups and with different needs.
- Previous school or SEN experience is useful but not essential.
- A CV covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one through GSL Education.
