Location: Winchester
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a caring and helpful SEN Learning Support to join a friendly school in Winchester. You will play an important role in helping students with different learning needs do their best. You will work closely with teachers to give the right support so students with Special Education Needs (SEN) feel included, engaged, and able to learn.
What You Will Do:
- Help teachers make lessons fun and suitable for SEN students.
- Support students with their learning, feelings, and friendships.
- Create a warm and welcoming classroom for all students.
- Keep the classroom organised and encourage good behaviour.
- Record how students, especially SEN students, are doing.
- Follow plans to help SEN students learn better.
What We Are Looking For:
- A strong wish to help students learn and grow in a caring setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to work well with teachers and students.
- Able to adjust your support to fit different learning needs and classrooms.
- Experience working as a Learning Support, preferably with SEN students in a school is desirable.
- A CV covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
