Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Hedge End
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a kind and caring SEN Learning Support to join a warm and friendly school in Hedge End. If you enjoy helping children learn and feel happy at school, this is a great chance to make a real difference in their lives.

As a Special Education Needs (SEN) Learning Support, you will work closely with teachers to support students who need extra help. You will help during lessons, work with children in small groups or one-to-one, and help make the classroom a safe, happy place. You’ll support students with their learning, feelings, and friendships.

What You Will Do:

  • Help teachers make lessons fun and interesting.
  • Support students with their learning, emotions, and friendships.
  • Give extra time and help to students who need it.
  • Help keep the classroom calm, tidy, and a nice place to be.
  • Encourage good behaviour and teamwork.
  • Listen to students and help them feel safe and understood.
  • Share feedback with teachers about how students are doing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working as a Learning Support, especially with SEN students is desirable.
  • A strong passion for helping children learn and feel confident.
  • Good communication skills to work well with teachers and children.
  • Able to support students in a way that meets their individual needs.
  • A CV showing the last 10 years of work, with no unexplained gaps.
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
