Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary School in Basingstoke, Hampshire!

If so, GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This fulfilling role offers a competitive annual salary between £18,500 to £20,500 and is set to start ASAP, from September 2025, or following the successful candidate’s notice period.
Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Work closely with class teachers to support students in their learning.
- Deliver small group interventions and provide one-to-one support where needed.
- Assist students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment across the school.
- Support students’ academic and emotional development with patience and resilience.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, or transferable skills from roles such as youth work, social work, or pastoral care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A resilient, adaptable, and caring nature.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
