Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Long-term, Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brighton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children one-on-one and in small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs.
About the Role:
This LSA role is ideal for those with a genuine passion for inclusive education. You’ll be providing tailored classroom support, both academically and emotionally, to pupils with diverse needs. You may also be referred to as a SEN Teaching Assistant, as the role involves working closely with pupils with special educational needs, helping them engage with learning and build confidence in a mainstream primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide learning and behavioural support to identified pupils
• Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individual support plans
• Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation
• Support pupils with social and emotional development
• Encourage pupil participation and independence
• Monitor progress and maintain records as directed
Job Requirements:
• Previous experience as an Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable
• A patient, calm, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A passion for working with children with additional needs
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
