Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Hove
Salary Range: £120-£200 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are actively recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hove. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a setting where your teaching makes a real difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You’ll plan and deliver tailored lessons that help each pupil to learn, grow, and succeed at their own pace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver personalised learning plans for pupils with SEN.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals.
- Track and report on pupil progress using EHCPs and school targets.
- Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour in class.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Profound knowledge of UK primary and SEN curricula.
- Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
