Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher
Location: Canvey Island
Salary Range: £125-£220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will cover lessons for absent teachers, ensuring pupils continue learning in a calm and structured environment. You’ll teach according to the plans provided, maintain classroom routines, and support children’s engagement and well-being throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils stay on task.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Build good relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Report on progress or concerns to relevant school staff.
  • Be adaptable to different classrooms and school settings.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Able to follow school policies and routines confidently.
  • Positive, flexible, and professional attitude.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
