SEN Learning Support Needed – Join a Great Team!

Job Title: SEN Learning Support
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a caring and committed SEN Learning Support to join a friendly and supportive school in Portsmouth. This is a great chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to grow and succeed both in and out of the classroom. You will be part of a team that works together to support every child. Your help will give students the confidence to learn and enjoy school.

What You Will Do:

  • Support teachers in delivering fun and engaging lessons.
  • Help students with SEN to do well in their learning and feel confident.
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one who need extra support.
  • Create a kind, inclusive, and welcoming space for all students.
  • Help keep the classroom tidy and support the teacher with lesson planning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children who have SEN is desirable.
  • A strong interest in helping children learn and grow.
  • Good communication skills to work well with teachers and students.
  • Able to adjust your support to meet different students' needs.
  • A CV showing work history for the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps, and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one).
