Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are happy to offer a great opportunity for a caring and patient Educational Support Worker to join a supportive school in Poole. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for anyone who loves supporting children to reach their best.
About the Role:
As an Educational Support Worker, you will support pupils who may have special educational needs or emotional and social challenges. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to give one-to-one or small group support. Your help will make sure pupils feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in class and outside of class who need extra help with learning or behaviour.
- Follow support plans that help students stay focused, calm, and involved.
- Help children build confidence, social skills, and independence.
- Work with teachers and SENCOs to create a caring learning environment.
- Keep track of how pupils are doing and share this with the teaching team.
- Support children with sensory or mobility needs, if needed.
- Follow all school rules to help keep children safe and happy.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in schools, care, or SEN settings is desirable.
- A calm and caring attitude, with the ability to stay patient.
- Good at talking to and working with children and adults.
- Understand how to keep children safe and follow school safeguarding rules.
- Able to stay calm and positive, even in difficult situation.
- A full CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
