Job Title: School Health Care Support Worker
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent
GSL Education are looking for a School Health Care Support Worker to join a caring and supportive school in Christchurch. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children with their daily health and wellbeing needs. You will work closely with school staff to make sure children feel safe and looked after. This role is perfect for someone who is calm, kind, and patient. Every day, you will help make a positive difference in a child’s school life.
Main Duties:
- Help children who need medical or personal care during the school day.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupil health.
- Keep clear records of care given and update plans as needed.
- Respond to minor injuries and help manage medication.
- Support pupils with hygiene and comfort when needed.
- Follow health and safety rules to keep everyone safe.
What We Need:
- Some experience in healthcare, childcare, or support work (preferred but not required).
- A kind, calm, and patient attitude.
- Able to work well in a team and take direction.
- Good attention to detail when writing notes or following care plans.
- Willing to learn and take part in training.
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be happy to get one through GSL Education.
