Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our team in Southbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students grow in confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy learning in a supportive environment.
About the Role
As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with a team of professionals to create a positive and inclusive classroom where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students with special educational needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles and ensure all students are motivated and challenged.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Promote curiosity and a love of learning through creative and meaningful activities.
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Ensure health and safety practices are followed in all learning activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping students succeed.
- A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
- Relevant training or qualifications in special education (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to provide a full ten-year career history with references from the last two years.
