Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Wimborne
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full time
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Are you someone who enjoys helping children with special educational needs (SEN) learn and grow?
GSL Education are looking for a kind and dedicated SEN Teacher to work full-time at a friendly and supportive school in Wimborne.
What You Will Do as a SEN Teacher:
- Teach lessons that are fun and suited to the needs of each student.
- Create learning plans (called IEPs) for each student to help them reach their goals.
- Check how students are doing and give helpful feedback.
- Make your classroom a happy and safe place where all students feel included.
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to support each child.
- Take part in school events, parent meetings, and training sessions.
- Help students with their behaviour and personal development.
- Always follow the school’s rules and safeguarding policies to keep students safe.
What We Are Looking For in a SEN Teacher:
- You must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a similar teaching qualification.
- You should have experience working with children who have special educational needs.
- You need to be a good communicator, well-organised, and able to manage a classroom.
- You should be someone who can motivate and support students of all abilities.
- You must have an Enhanced DBS (criminal background check) that is registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
