Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)

Are you a dedicated and empathetic teacher with a passion for working with children with special educational needs?

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teacher to join a committed and nurturing school community in Ringwood, where every child is encouraged to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering creative, personalised lessons to support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. The school promotes a therapeutic and inclusive approach, ensuring every child’s needs are met holistically.

Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver and assess individualised lessons tailored to pupils’ EHCPs.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Promote personal and academic development through structured routines.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners.
  • Monitor progress and adapt plans based on pupils’ responses and needs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusive practices across the school.

SEN Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and behavioural strategies.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and student-centred learning.
