Salary: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with varying learning needs.

  • Assisting teachers in creating and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual education plans (IEPs).

  • Supporting students’ emotional, behavioural, and academic progress throughout the day.

  • Encouraging student independence while maintaining a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Collaborating closely with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to ensure consistency in student support.

  • Helping maintain accurate records of progress and communicating effectively with parents and staff.

  • Promoting positive reinforcement and confidence in students, making you a vital part of their daily success.

 

Requirements:

To be successful as a Learning Support Assistant, you should have:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role supporting students with special educational needs.

  • A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to education.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.

  • A flexible and proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering student development.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
