Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher
Location: West Thurrock
Salary Range: £125-£220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time:
September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a Primary Supply Teacher, your main responsibility is to step into classrooms and deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring continuity of learning and creating a calm, positive environment for pupils. You may work in different year groups and schools depending on daily or long-term needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Leave detailed handover notes for the class teacher.
  • Adapt quickly to new settings and classroom expectations.
  • Follow school safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching in UK primary schools.
  • Confident in delivering lessons across different year groups.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
