GSL Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Spalding to recruit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for an immediate start. This role offers a competitive daily rate of £120 – £130, making it an excellent opportunity to begin your career on solid footing.
About the Role:
This ECT position is ideal for newly qualified teachers looking to gain hands-on experience within a nurturing school that values professional growth and pupil development. You will be supported by a dedicated team of experienced educators and have access to continuous mentoring throughout your induction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- Develop lesson plans in line with the school’s curriculum and national standards.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, behaviour for learning, and pupil participation.
- Track pupil progress and implement strategies for improvement.
- Participate in CPD activities and work closely with your assigned mentor throughout your induction period.
Job Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Proven experience teaching primary education and commitment to nurturing young learners.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, with the ability to plan and deliver creative lessons.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teaching.
- Positive attitude and willingness to grow, including openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
