Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: East Bergholt
Salary Range: £90 - £140 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about working with children and confident in leading a classroom? GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor (CS) to work in a supportive primary school located in East Bergholt, starting September 2025.

About the Role:
The Cover Supervisor will step into classrooms when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring that pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the day. This role plays a key part in maintaining continuity in teaching and learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.
- Managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensuring students remain on task and complete their work.
- Reporting back to teachers on the day’s progress and pupil behaviour.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A degree or relevant education-based experience is beneficial.
- Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting children's education.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
