Full-Time Maths Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton, Hampshire (SO15)

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and motivated Full-Time Maths Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. This exciting opportunity begins in September 2025 and offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience. A permanent or fixed-term contract is available following a successful probation period.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Plan and implement a structured curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and support students’ personal growth.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring students of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
