This full-time position begins in September 2025, with the potential for a permanent or fixed-term contract following a successful probation period.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Engage and Inspire: Deliver dynamic Science lessons across key stages, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Innovative Teaching: Create engaging lesson plans that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Student Success: Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Inclusive Classroom: Build a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where all students thrive.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in extracurricular activities and science-related events.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality curriculum delivery.
  • Student Support: Promote student well-being and provide additional academic support where needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Science at the secondary level is preferred, but ECTs are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment: A dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Motivation: A drive to inspire students and cultivate a love for Science.
  • Preparedness: An up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
