Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Engaging Lessons: Deliver thought-provoking RE lessons across key stages, encouraging open dialogue and critical thinking.
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement creative lesson plans that explore diverse religious beliefs and ethical perspectives.
- Student Progress: Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their academic journey.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and heard.
- School Community: Participate in school events and contribute to the wider educational experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality curriculum delivery.
- Pastoral Support: Promote student well-being and provide guidance where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching RE at the secondary level is preferred, but ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment: A passion for education and a dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Preparedness: An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
