GSL Education would love to hear from you! We’re currently recruiting for a full-time QTS Teacher to join a welcoming, well-equipped mainstream primary school in Southsea. Whether you’re an experienced teacher, an Early Career Teacher (ECT) just starting out, or trained overseas with UK-recognised qualifications, we warmly encourage you to apply.
About the Role
This is a full-time teaching position in a supportive and friendly primary school, available either immediately or from September 2025. You’ll be planning and delivering engaging lessons, helping pupils to thrive, and contributing to the wider school community.
What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering fun and inspiring lessons that follow the primary curriculum.
-
Creating a positive, nurturing classroom where every child feels supported and motivated.
-
Monitoring pupil progress and providing extra help where needed.
-
Using positive behaviour management techniques to maintain a happy learning environment.
-
Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support children’s success.
-
Getting involved in school life beyond the classroom to help the whole school flourish.
Who We’re Looking For
-
You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — whether you’re a newly qualified ECT or a qualified teacher from overseas, we’d love to hear from you.
-
Experience in a UK primary school is a bonus, but not essential.
-
You’re confident with the national curriculum across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
-
You’re passionate about raising standards and supporting children to reach their full potential.
-
You’re a team player who communicates well with staff and families.
-
You have a current CV with two recent references (from the last two years) covering your employment over the past ten years without unexplained gaps.
-
You have an enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
Why Work with GSL Education?
-
Competitive salary from £30,000 to £46,535, depending on your skills and experience.
-
Friendly support from our dedicated education recruitment team.
-
Opportunities to work in well-regarded primary schools across Southsea.
-
Refer a friend and earn £100 once they’ve worked five days through GSL.
