Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker

Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a positive and nurturing school in Bournemouth. The staff work closely together to create a calm and caring space where pupils are supported not just in their learning, but in their emotions too.
Responsibilities:
- Support students in managing their behaviour and emotional needs.
- Work closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students who need extra help.
- Encourage students to build positive behaviours and interact respectfully with others.
- Help students stay engaged and motivated during lessons and activities.
- Offer support during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Keep track of student progress and share feedback to help them succeed.
- Work with the school team to promote a safe and welcoming space for all students.
We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting students with behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for helping students grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers, students, and other staff.
- Flexibility to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of students.
- A recent CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps) and either an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
