Teacher of English
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £100- £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

As an English Teacher, you will bring classic texts and modern literature to life across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop not just their literacy skills but their voice, confidence, and curiosity.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students to enjoy reading, writing, and critical analysis.
- Plan differentiated lessons that cater to mixed-ability learners.
- Mark work, provide feedback, and support students in making academic progress.
- Contribute to a positive school culture and take part in departmental collaboration
Qualifications:
- UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome and supported.
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE level).
- A strong understanding of assessment for learning and classroom management.
- Passion for literature, language, and student development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
