Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Chelmsford
Salary:
 £90- £130 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking to make a difference in students' lives?

GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Chelmsford. This role involves working closely with students who require additional support, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of learning plans and classroom activities.
  • Support students in developing confidence and independence in their learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet students' abilities and learning styles.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure student progress.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or a similar field.
  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential).
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
