Job Title: HLTA Primary
Location: Rainham
Salary: £90 – £130 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step? GSL Education are in search of a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Rainham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support the academic and emotional development of pupils, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Plan and prepare activities in line with the curriculum.
- Assist with assessments, classroom management, and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning outcomes.
- Contribute positively to the wider school environment and school events.
Job Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Ability to lead a class and manage behaviour effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A nurturing and resilient approach to working with children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
