Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the Science curriculum with a strong emphasis on Psychology, inspiring students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.

  • Develop a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that supports students of all abilities to excel in science and psychology.

  • Foster analytical thinking and evidence-based inquiry, encouraging students to explore real-world applications of psychological and scientific theories.

  • Create and implement lesson plans, assessments, and resources that meet curriculum standards and cater to a variety of learning needs.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering targeted feedback and interventions to ensure academic success.

  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and participate in school-wide events, promoting the role of science and psychology within a broader educational context.

The ideal Science with Psychology Teacher will:

  • Hold UK QTS and a relevant degree in Science or Psychology.

  • Have prior experience teaching Science and Psychology in a secondary school setting.

  • Demonstrate a strong command of subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for both disciplines.

  • Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • Be committed to continuous professional development and collaborative working.

  • Holder of a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
