Salary: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)

Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a rich and varied curriculum that supports pupils in developing essential literacy skills and a lifelong appreciation of literature. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Promote reading, writing, and analytical skills through innovative teaching methods.
  • Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best ideas.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in English Language and/or Literature.
  • Prior experience delivering English to groups in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons that engage and support all learners.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to use data to inform teaching and provide targeted support where needed
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
