Teacher of Geography
Location: Halstead
Salary: £100 - £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a creative and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to work in schools based in the Halstead area. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and confident Early Career Teachers looking to grow their teaching careers in a stimulating environment.
As a Geography Teacher, you will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages that encourage curiosity, global understanding, and critical thinking. You will help pupils connect local and global issues while developing their analytical skills and geographical awareness.
Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that inspire students to explore the world
- Encourage students to analyse human and physical geography through current events and case studies
- Create a stimulating learning environment that supports progress and curiosity
- Use a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to develop curriculum resources
Teacher of Geography Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography or a related field
- Experience as a Geography Teacher is necessary
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to supporting student's academic and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
