Job Title: Classroom Support Worker
Location: Poole
Salary: £13.68 – £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Poole. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and is keen to support students in overcoming learning barriers, helping them to build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve success in the classroom.
Job Expectations:
- Support students across a range of subjects and activities within the classroom.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils who require extra help.
- Assist with lesson preparation and the organisation of resources.
- Promote inclusive learning and student engagement.
- Encourage and motivate students to participate actively in class.
- Support with behaviour management and conflict resolution when needed.
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate feedback to teaching staff.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver effective strategies.
- Help students with daily routines, including transitions between lessons.
- Uphold a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment for all pupils.
Candidate Expectations:
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance are preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting as a Classroom Support Worker.
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive attitude.
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with both staff and students.
- Proactive, with a desire to contribute to the school community.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
