SEN Teacher
Location: Wareham
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient SEN Teacher to join a well-respected specialist school in Wareham.
About the Role:
As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will be teaching students with a range of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH. Your role will involve delivering personalised learning, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils' emotional and social development alongside academic progress.
To be a successful SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons aligned with pupils' EHCPs
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate effectively with support staff and external professionals
- Monitor, track, and report on individual student progress
- Promote emotional well-being and independence in pupils
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support learning
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching or supporting students with SEN
- Knowledge of a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Ability to adapt teaching styles and strategies to support individual learners

- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
