Location: Winton
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher for a specialist school located in Winton. This full-time and permanent opportunity begins in September 2025 and is ideal for teachers ready to embrace the rewarding challenge of SEN education.

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with pupils who have a range of complex learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Your role will be to deliver engaging and personalised lessons while promoting independence and emotional development.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, individualised lessons in line with EHCPs
  • Foster a nurturing and structured environment that supports all learners
  • Track progress and implement strategies to help students achieve personal goals
  • Liaise with support staff, families, and external professionals
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies
  • Support the holistic development of each student academically and socially

SEN Teacher Qualification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching students with SEN in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of adapted curriculum frameworks and behaviour management strategies
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, patient approach
