SEN Teacher
Location: Wimborne
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a supportive school community in Wimborne from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time role for professionals who are passionate about teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual learning and emotional needs of students with SEN. You’ll work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to provide a nurturing and structured environment where every learner feels valued and understood.
SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to students with varying SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs
- Differentiate the curriculum to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
- Use a range of strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Track and monitor student progress, reporting regularly to parents and carers
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external specialists
- Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Requirements for Special Educational Needs Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary, secondary or specialist setting
- In-depth understanding of special educational needs and inclusive pedagogy
- Excellent communication, teamwork and classroom management skills
- Adaptable, patient and empathetic approach to teaching
