Supply Teacher – Primary
Location: Harwich
Salary: £130 – £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will step into a range of primary classrooms, maintaining continuity of learning and supporting students' progress. You'll deliver pre-set lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of each class. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs who enjoy variety, flexibility, and meaningful classroom engagement.
Responsibilities of Supply Teacher - Primary:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Follow school policies and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt quickly to different schools’ cultures and expectations
- Mark and assess student work as required
- Uphold high behaviour standards and support the school’s ethos
- Build positive relationships with staff and pupils
Primary Supply Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK
- Primary classroom teaching experience (EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and adaptability
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
