Position: Spanish Teacher
Location: Barnet, North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Daily Rate: £150 – £250 (depending on experience and contract type)

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Barnet. This is a permanent, full-time role starting in September 2025 — ideal for an enthusiastic individual ready to bring the Spanish language and culture to life in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of the Spanish Teacher:

Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in Spanish that promote language fluency and cultural understanding.

Use varied teaching strategies and resources to support all learning styles, ensuring every student can succeed in Spanish.

Monitor and assess student progress in line with school and national standards.

Foster a classroom environment that motivates and challenges learners to reach their full potential as Spanish language speakers.

Collaborate with colleagues across the languages department to continually develop and improve the Spanish curriculum.

Contribute to wider school life, including language-themed events, trips, and clubs that enhance the Spanish learning experience.
The Ideal Spanish Teacher Will:

Hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Spanish, MFL, or a related field.

Have experience teaching Spanish at Key Stages 3 to 5 in a UK secondary school setting.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Spanish curriculum and modern assessment methods.

Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Be committed to continuous professional development and inclusive teaching practices.

Hold a valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
