Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Hull
Rate: £89 to £105 a day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students, particularly those with additional learning needs. You’ll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, offering both academic and emotional support to ensure every student can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and build confidence in their abilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Support classroom activities, helping to maintain a focused and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting observations to teachers and SENCOs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with additional needs is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their educational journey.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs are advantageous.
