Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Hull
Salary: £99 - £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a confident, adaptable, and motivated Cover Supervisor to support various educational settings in Hull. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or for those who enjoy the flexibility of working across a variety of subjects and year groups.
Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor (CS):
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure pupils remain on task throughout.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Respond to general questions from pupils about the lesson and provide additional support where needed.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding student participation and behaviour.
- Foster a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Adapt to a range of school environments, year groups, and subjects.
Cover Supervisor (CS) Job Requirements:
- Prior experience working in an educational setting, ideally in a supervisory or classroom setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Patience, resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
