Secondary Teaching Assistant – Doncaster
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £85 – £100 per day

GSL Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Doncaster. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the academic and personal development of students aged 11–16.
Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students remain engaged and progress in their learning.

Assist classroom teachers in delivering differentiated and inclusive lessons.

Support students with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.

Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment.

Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.

Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school-based activities as needed.
Requirements for a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring, or youth-focused settings).

A good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young people.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently when required.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
