Job Title: Human Resource Officer

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

As the Human Resource Officer, you will play a central role in maintaining efficient HR operations across the school. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, thrives on organisation, and is looking to make a lasting impact in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Human Resource Officer, manage all day-to-day HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining personnel records.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, safer recruitment practices, and GDPR regulations as part of your HR duties.

  • Provide frontline HR support to staff, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Assist the senior leadership team with performance management, absence monitoring, and staff training coordination.

  • Help maintain payroll data and liaise with external providers as the school’s Human Resource Officer.

  • Keep up-to-date with employment legislation and HR best practices to inform policy implementation.

  • Ensure all HR systems are accurate and up to date, supporting the school’s operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a Human Resource Officer or in a similar HR support role, ideally within a school or public sector environment.

  • CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards it is desirable.

  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support staff at all levels.

  • Proficient in using HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
