About the role:
As a School HR Assistant, they are seeking a highly organised and analytical Data Manager/PA to join their Senior Leadership Team. This key role involves leading all aspects of data management, providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making, ensure statutory compliance, and drive school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection, maintenance, and analysis of student and school data, including assessments, attendance, examinations, and performance reports.
- Oversee the use of the school’s MIS and related databases, providing staff training and support across various modules such as timetabling, assessment, attendance, and special educational needs.
- Produce data reports for senior leadership, governors, and external bodies, and coordinate statutory returns and government survey submissions.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to keep staff intranet pages and published documents up to date, ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.
- Support additional administrative tasks as needed and promote student safety and wellbeing in line with safeguarding policies.

Key Skills & Requirements:
- Able to work accurately and flexibly under own initiative, managing conflicting deadlines and frequent interruptions.
- Strong experience with SIMS/Nova, Excel, and other MIS systems, including data analysis, reporting, and secure data management.
- Proven supervisory experience, including task delegation, workload prioritisation, and supporting a busy office environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with school staff, governors, external agencies, and ICT teams.
- Confident in setting team priorities, ensuring data integrity and security, and managing resources and equipment responsibly.
