Job Title: Class Assistant - Secondary
Location: Chichester, East Sussex
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Full-time

Key Responsibilities of a Class Assistant for Secondary:
- Provide classroom-based support to teachers and pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assist with lesson preparation, resource organisation, and student supervision.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and promote engagement.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with additional needs under the guidance of the teacher or SENCO.
- Foster student confidence and independence through daily interactions.
Skills & Requirements for Class Assistant for Secondary:
- A genuine interest in education and working with secondary-age students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Adaptability, patience, and a proactive attitude.
- Experience working with young people (e.g., mentoring, coaching, tutoring) is an advantage.
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset are a must!
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
