Job Title: Secondary Teaching Support
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Full-time

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Support:

  • Provide in-class support to students and teaching staff, primarily across KS3 and KS4.
  • Work one-to-one or with small groups to support students’ academic progress and behaviour.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and assist in lesson delivery.
  • Support the development of students’ social skills, confidence, and engagement.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Actively participate in school activities, under the direction of the classroom teacher or SENCO.

Skills & Requirements for Secondary Teaching Support:

  • A genuine interest in education and working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced school setting.
  • Prior experience with children or young adults (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is beneficial.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset are a must!
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
