Location: Thanet
Salary: £120 – £250 per day
Start Date: Term 6 (June 2025)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover until April/May 2026

Key responsibilities as an English Teacher include:
• Delivering engaging and challenging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
• Planning, marking, and assessing work in line with the curriculum and school expectations
• Inspiring students to develop confidence, creativity, and a critical appreciation of texts
• Creating a supportive and focused classroom environment
• Working closely with the English department to ensure consistency and excellence

To be successful in this English Teacher role, you must:
• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Be passionate about student achievement and the transformative power of education
• Be proactive, flexible, and committed to upholding the school’s values and ethos
• Possess an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
