PMLD Learning Support Assistant – Immediate Start
Location: Chelmsford
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time
Daily Rate: £90–£120 (depending on experience)

Are you a caring, resilient, and committed individual looking to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN team immediately.

This is a truly rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require high levels of support for both their learning and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with PMLD.

  • Assist with mobility, personal care, and feeding as required.

  • Create a calm, nurturing environment using sensory-based strategies.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to deliver EHCP outcomes.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs or disabilities.

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic with a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Comfortable with personal care and physical support duties.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
