Teacher of Religious Studies and Personal Development
Location: Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
GSL Education are actively searching for a dynamic and qualified Religious Education and Personal Development Teacher in Withernsea for a thriving Secondary school, with the position to start in September 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding lessons in Religious Studies and Personal Development.
- Inspire students to reflect on moral, spiritual and cultural topics, promoting respect and tolerance.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of an inclusive and engaging Personal Development curriculum.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Create a positive and safe classroom environment that supports learning and well-being.
- Contribute to school life, including assemblies, themed events, and extra-curricular opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related subject.
- A proven or emerging track record of successful teaching at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the RS curriculum and current educational initiatives in Personal Development.
- A passion for supporting young people in their moral, personal, and social development.
- Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through GSL Education.
