Salary: £88.94 to £104.84 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: After May 2025 half term
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Lincoln. We welcome individuals who are committed to helping students with Special Education Needs (SEN) achieve their best and who are eager to make a lasting difference.

As an SEN Support Assistant, your role will be to help students with diverse needs take part in lessons and feel a sense of belonging in the classroom. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, your support will help students grow both academically and personally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist students with their academic work, helping them stay focused and engaged.
  • Support students’ emotional and social development, building their confidence and independence.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom where all students feel welcome and valued.
  • Assist with classroom management and preparation to ensure lessons run smoothly.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Promote a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment.

What You Need:

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEN in a school setting.
  • A caring, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with staff and students.
  • The ability to adjust support to different learning styles and needs.
  • A current, up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
