Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter Term 2025

Are you an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher looking to make a real impact in the classroom? GSL Education is seeking committed and passionate Secondary Teachers to join secondary schools across Barnsley from Easter 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to support students’ academic growth and personal development.
About the Role:
As a Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in your subject specialism, catering to a range of student abilities. You will foster a positive learning environment, track pupil progress, and work collaboratively with staff to raise attainment and enthusiasm for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at secondary level (GCSE experience preferred).
- Subject specialism in your chosen field (e.g., English, Science, Maths, Humanities, etc.).
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A ten-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role.
