About the Role:

As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, play-based and structured learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans, monitoring pupil progress, and creating a nurturing classroom culture that promotes curiosity, confidence, and independence in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and purposeful lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that supports early development.
  • Use observational assessments to track progress and inform planning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote personal, social, and emotional development alongside early literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Maintain strong classroom management in a gentle and supportive manner.
  • Support safeguarding and wellbeing in line with statutory guidance.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in an Early Years or Foundation Stage setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and best practices in early education.
  • A warm, empathetic, and energetic approach to teaching young children.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of teaching.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

Why Join GSL Education?

  • Competitive daily pay rates reflective of your experience.
  • Personal support from a dedicated education consultant.
  • Partnerships with welcoming, well-led schools committed to staff development.
  • A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

If you are a passionate Early Years professional eager to inspire a love of learning from the very beginning, we would love to hear from you.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
